I was wondering why I didn't get any comments.. turns out it wasn't scheduled properly. Four hours late, here's Barnyard.
I guess this is the longest movie game title I've ever played, which I'd say is a good thing knowing that a lot of kids would often get movie titles as presents for their birthdays, only to be disappointed by the two to three hours of actual gameplay.
Barnyard allows you to choose your cow to do a lot of fun stuff around the barn. The game is basically a bunch of minigames along with a lot of biking from one destination to the other. If you score really good on a minigame, you are awarded a gold medal. If you beat the gold medal record, you're the king (side objective, really).
There's also coins to be gathered and I suggest you get as many of these as possible, because you're gonna need them. The coins allow you to purchase new items for the barn.. which I really liked. The barn basically starts out as some place really empty.. but as you purchase more stuff, it'll have it's own discofloor, minigames and diner seats. If you buy all the items, you're the party king (another side objective).
Anyway, once you complete all the minigames, the game is finished. You can still go around and gather "in-game tips" (which just tell you super obvious things about the game), or you can collect the rest of the cooking recipes (also useless). Ofcourse all the minigames are replayable, so if you didn't get a gold medal the first time.. you can try again.
Fun, lengthy game and very easy. My run was almost completely blind and I don't think I could've done it much faster if I did practice it all the way through.

Man, this takes me back… I remember dreading night so much as a child because the music spooked me. I remember all those items you could buy with those Gopherbucks, including the bikes. Most of the minigames are fun in their own way. And almost all the minigames can be unlocked when you play them for the first time, so you're free to sit back and play your favorite minigame in the extras, if that's your thing. Yeah, I obsessed over this game as a child, so I feel right at home watching this all the way through
